June 13, 2012 - PRLog -- Washington, DC – The US Pan Asian American Chamber of Commerce Education Foundation (USPAACC) has announced that the pioneering Asian American Business Study will be released soon. The Study focuses on the business characteristics of the six (6) major Asian American ethnic groups: Chinese, Filipino, Indian, Japanese, Korean, and Vietnamese.

“We have reached a milestone in our Asian American Business study as we discovered new and exciting information about our six Asian American ethnic groups,” said Susan Au Allen, National President and CEO. “We will use these data to further understand this segment and offer forward-thinking solutions to their challenges as they continue to thrive in this competitive marketplace.”

Data gathering included surveys, in-depth interviews and focus group discussions among representative businesses from all of the six major ethnic groups, across industries nationwide. The survey included multi-level questionnaires, in-depth one-on-one interviews, and a series of focus group discussions that sought out responses on issues, such as: succession plans; generational differences; cultural influence on business decision-making; rationale behind building their business; levels of assimilation as factor to survival and growth; etc.

This study will offer a unique window for corporations and government agencies interested in doing business with the fastest-growing business community in the United States.

This pioneering study, supported in part through a grant from Wells Fargo, aims to provide a broader perspective and understanding of the Asian American business community, highlighting the segment's business characteristics—some more pronounced, others more nuanced—as manifested through socio-cultural proclivities brought by traditions and social circles, degrees of influence from ethnic enclaves, internal or external impetus, personal decision-making processes, length of business activities in the U.S., changes in the economic environment, effects of government regulations, and other factors.
