Shortlist Revealed for Defence IQ Blogging Awards 2012

PRLog (Press Release) - Jun. 13, 2012 - After many hours of discussion and debate, Defence IQ’s panel of judges have finally agreed on the shortlist for the eagerly awaited Defence IQ Blogging Awards 2012. There have been nominations for a wide variety of blogs from across the world, showcasing a whole host of blogging talent.

In total, 33 blogs have made the shortlist across the six nomination categories and now the Defence IQ Blogging Awards panel will once again gather to discuss the winners of each category.

•Information Operations

•Cyber (Security, Warfare, Strategy)
Shortlisted: CWZ, Flying Penguin, Schneier on Security

•Counter Terrorism
Shortlisted: Ink Spots, Gunpowder & Lead, Intel Wire, The Freedom Fighter Blog, Security Scholar, All Things Counter Terrorism

•Maritime Security
Shortlisted: Daly History Blog, Maritime Security Review, Marine Insight, Information Dissemination, Signal Scape

•Regional Defence
Shortlisted: Window on Heartland, The MOD Stole my Boyfriend, Thin Pinstriped Line, Augen Geradeaus, Think Defence, Livefist, The 3DS Blog, Registan

•Defence Industry
Shortlisted: AOL Defense, Fire Support, Land Warfare Blog, Defence Aerospace technological Advancement, Strategy Analytics, Danger Room, RAF Airman

“It’s great to see so many entries coming in from across a range of sectors and countries and we’re looking forward to reading each of the blogs,” said Defence IQ Editor Andrew Elwell. “The quality of the entries we’ve received now makes the panel’s job even tougher than we first thought!”
