Mehool Sanghrajka, CEO, Learning Possibilities said "LP+ mobile has previously allowed users to access their LP+ mail, contacts and calendars from their mobile devices. The new app adds a completely new dimension by adding full menu driven access to the LP+4 platform with search and offline availability. With the growing use of iPads in schools and a move towards ‘bring your own device’ it was important for us to make the LP+4 experience fully available from mobile devices."
The LP+4 Mobile app is available in two versions recognising the way mobiles and tablet devices are used in schools. For those using a personal device the app will provide online and offline access to LP+4 sites and allow users to edit LP+4 tools such as documents, pictures, blogs and wikis. The shared device option allows multiple users to access their site using one device, recognising that mobile devices are often shared in the classroom.
The LP+4 Mobile solution will be available to schools later this month, with solutions for Windows 8 coming soon.
LP+4 is the latest version of the award winning cloud based solution from Learning Possibilities. Built on SharePoint 2010 and over a dozen other Microsoft enterprise technologies, LP+4 offers schools a fully multi-tenanted, secure learning environment with web 2.0 tools, avatars, status walls and themes.
