          NY Artist Minnie Dee joins CILA and announces release of “Believe”        
           
        New York, NY- NY Artist, Minnie Dee, joins CILA llc Management and is set to release her highly anticipated video “Believe” on June 14th, 2012.  Influenced by Josephine Baker, Stevie Wonder, Jonie Mitchell and 60’s pop art fashion, singer Minnie Dee makes music that combines up-tempo party grooves with positive-message lyrics, wild theatrics, and sassy, soulful vocals.
        Originally from Virginia, Minnie Dee moved to NYC at the age of 16 to become a member of the world famous Dance Theater of Harlem.  After several years of touring the world as a professional ballerina, she returned to NYC to pursue acting.  Within months, Minnie Dee landed a national commercial directed by Spike Lee, from which her earnings enabled her to attend college.  She also landed a role in “Black and White” featuring Ben Stiller and Robert Downey Jr., which was written and directed by James Tobak.
         After college, Minnie Dee caught the music bug and began performing at dozens of open mics around NYC.  Following a stint as a back up singer with local band ‘Mike Sandwich’, she gained the confidence to writing her own songs.  With the help of producer Riley McMahon at New Warsaw Studio, Minnie Dee recorded her debut Album, “Time to Shine”.
          Minnie Dee went on to release her debut video for the hit song “Gonna Walk Away”, in late 2011, a dramatic song about courage and strength in times of adversity.  The upcoming video release of “Believe” is an up-tempo, positive song produced and directed by Marko D.
