Bicycle Based Delivery for Businesses by Portland Pedal Power

Portland Pedal Power is now selling their cargo bike enclosures to allow businesses to grow their revenues through bicycle based delivery and marketing.

June 13, 2012 - PRLog -- Due to widespread interest in the Portland Pedal Power (PPP) cargo bike enclosures, PPP has begun selling the enclosures to interested businesses. The highly recognizable enclosures are often seen on the streets of Portland as the PPP bike fleet delivers food, groceries and products throughout central Portland. The combination of the flexible, spacious enclosure interior and eye-catching signage on the exterior led to a flood of inquiries about enclosure sales. Now the wait is over and businesses large and small can have their very own cargo bike enclosures to expand their business reach and awareness levels.

The Portland Pedal Power cargo bike enclosure is compatible with most cargo bike models. The interior is spacious and can carry loads as heavy as the maximum capacity of the cargo bike. The enclosure works with standard bikes and those equipped with an electric assist. “We wanted to create a viable alternative to gas powered vehicle based delivery,” says Ken Wetherell, Founder of Portland Pedal Power, “so we made sure that there was sufficient capacity, security and protection from the elements.”

The signage on the PPP bikes allows for businesses to promote themselves while on the road and when the bike is not in use. They can replace sandwich boards and other outdoor signage when the bike is parked and are easily noticed when the bike is in motion.

Portland Pedal Power’s mission is to accelerate the sales of sustainably-minded local businesses through bike deliveries, promotional services, and mobile Pedal Ads. PPP specializes in the delivery of fresh food and products and partners with local restaurateurs, food cart vendors, grocers, florists, and other businesses. PPP is licensed by the OLCC to deliver beer and wine. Portland Pedal Power has been operating in downtown, NW, the Pearl, and inner SE and NE Portland for three years.
