June 12, 2012 - PRLog -- TORONTO – June 12th, 2012 - Asigra Inc., a leading Cloud Backup, Recovery and Restore (BURR) software provider since 1986, announced today that hundreds of  cloud backup service providers and experts from around the world will gather at the Sheraton Centre downtown Toronto from June 11th to June 13th at the 2012 Asigra Cloud Backup™ Partner Summit. The  sold out event is focused on providing attendees with the opportunity to network with their peers, discuss strategies on how to grow their cloud backup and recovery business by embracing marketing best practices and proven sales methodologies to enhance customer acquisition, retention and service while also getting a roadmap preview of the next generation of Asigra Cloud Backup. Attendees will leave the Summit feeling empowered to OutMarket, OutSell and OutPerform which happens to be the theme for this year’s event.

“The market changes year by year and one of the signs of that change is that the market has become more crowded,” said Tom Dugan, CEO, Recovery Networks. “More companies are considering the value of cloud backup and recovery and updating their disaster recovery plans, all of which leads to more competition.  So staying ahead of the wave is paramount to not only success but survival. The Asigra Cloud Backup Partner Summit gives us the sales, marketing and technical tools and knowledge we need to stay ahead of that wave.”

The past year has seen major technology providers roll out cloud services aimed at both businesses and consumers, altering the market and enabling wide-spread adoption of cloud computing. Gartner projects that worldwide cloud services revenue will reach $148.8 billion in 2014[1]. The growth of cloud services cuts across all industries and applies to companies of all sizes. Gartner also projects by 2014 that 30 percent of midsize companies will have adopted recovery-in-the-cloud to support IT operations. A survey conducted by TechValidate on behalf of Asigra revealed that 62% of enterprises are considering a new approach to data backup and recovery within the next 12-18 months.

The aim of the 2012 Asigra Cloud Backup™ Partner Summit is to help Asigra partners drive their cloud services business forward and claim their share of this expanding market.

Keynote speakers include Jeffrey Gitomer, best-selling author of ‘The Little Red Book of Selling’; Rebel Brown, best-selling author of Defy Gravity; Tiffani Bova, Vice President of Research, Gartner, and Heather Margolis, founder of Channel Maven Consulting. Other sessions throughout the two-day conference include open discussions, moderated panels and technical sessions. Mark Staimer, President, Dragonslayer Consulting, one of the leading analysts in the network storage and storage management industries, will moderate several sessions including how to become a HIPAA compliant cloud backup service. Gary Hocking, CTO, Service Providers, NetApp, will talk about how the right storage can help build a profitable cloud platform and Jason Buffington, Senior Analyst at ESG, will speak on the current state of mobile device protection.

Attendees will also get a roadmap preview of the next generation of Asigra Cloud Backup software in the ever-popular Hands-On Lab.

Asigra will honor their partners with the 2012 Asigra Hybrid Partner Cloud Backup™ Awards, which take place during the summit on Tuesday, June 12th. The awards recognize excellence and outstanding achievement in delivering cloud backup services, providing innovative implementation solutions and demonstrating cloud backup thought leadership.

“The Summit provides our partners from around the world a unique experience as they come together for two intensive, information-packed days of learning, networking and knowledge sharing while fostering valuable relationships with their peers,” said Tracy Staniland, Senior Director, Corporate Marketing, Asigra. “We leverage the Summit as a forum to provide our partners with insights on product direction, channel developments, partner program enhancements and to solicit their feedback on how we do business together to ensure our business models align from a marketing, sales and technology perspective for mutual success. The Asigra Partner Summit is the only event in the market today that is solely focused on cloud backup and recovery that gives service providers access to experts that can help them scale their business.”
