On the eve of his 90th birthday, eccentric, celebrated stage actor Morris Applebaum (Falk) summons his three grown children to his Manhattan apartment for a festive shindig no one will ever forget. Because when the party’s over, Morris intends to make his “final exit.” No, he’s not ill or suffering from depression; he just wants to go out the way he’s lived: on his own terms. Now it’s up to his hilariously angst-ridden offspring to put aside their own excess baggage and convince Morris that it ain’t over till the fat lady sings!
Based on the stage play written by Allen Swift, Checking Out is a multi-award winning independent film Directed by Jeff Hare, and Produced by Full Circle Studios in association with the Fully Attired Film Group.
