Bedales students progress to Hampshire schools athletics finals

PRLog (Press Release) - Jun. 12, 2012 - Over 50 students from Bedales recently competed in the annual South East Hampshire Athletics competition at the Mountbatten Centre in Portsmouth with many of the students who took part gaining personal bests in their athletic disciplines.

Seven students qualified for the Hampshire Schools Athletics Championships to be held on Saturday 16 June. Ellie Catton (Block 4/Year 10) qualified for the 300m and is a reserve for the high jump, Emily Blackley (Block 4) will compete in the 800m and 80m hurdles, while Lily Wetherill (Block 4) will take part in the triple jump. Becky Grubb (Block 3/Year 9) qualified for the discus and 1500m, Rebecca Nielsen (Block 3) will compete in the javelin and Will Harvey (Block 3) will represent Bedales in the shot putt, with Ashley Vijoen (Block 3) as a reserve.
