To help achieve creative goals, Ugly Door Studios have opened up in Toms River where students and professionals can avail state-of-art recording, lessons and rehearsal facilities. The facility is accessible to bands across the tri-state and near Ocean County which many say is a hub for arts and music.
The studio has aggressive expansion plans and is co-founded by three creative individuals from different walks of life – Dan Skye, Jason Portizo and Debanjalee Bose.
Dan Skye, whose name resonates from popular band Bon Jovi to Blues Traveler and a professor at Burlington County College said "I feel wonderful to see the amount of interest in customers we have signed up in the first few months. We are constantly learning from our clients and would like to use this as a microcosm for our future expansion needs".
Jason Portizo, guitar instructor and audio engineer added, "We delayed the official opening of the studio though we had started welcoming clients from October 2011. Now that we have our music school, repairing facilities ready and portfolio shooting set-up completed, I am excited to see us become a one stop shop for our prospects and clients. We also have an exciting new website and a strong social media presence."
Ugly Door now has two facilities, one being the main facility with recording studio, music school, photography outlet and rehearsal studio and the other being another dedicated rehearsal studio.
Debanjalee Bose, music instructor, composer, lyricist said "When we started off the few things we wanted to achieve was an affordable cost structure, good ambience and superior customer relationship. It will also be a good blend of East and West as we are also offering classes for light music vocals and intermediate and beginner’s piano for Indian film industry music".
The facilities are conveniently located on 37 West in Toms River with easy access to Garden State Parkway, areas around Ocean County and other major roads.
