Orange County Novastars Open Free Agent Camp

June 12, 2012 - PRLog -- Novastar Basketball recently announced it's first annual free agent basketball camp held on July 21,2012 at the Next Level Sports Complex in Garden Grove, Ca.  There is currently no other professional basketball franchise in the Orange County market, and the Novastars have an opportunity to give this community something that it has long desired.

Novastar CEO and head coach Al Smith stated "This is a great opportunity for basketball players that have the talent and need a chance to be scouted in order to have the second chance that most players don't get at this level.  An opportunity to play sports on a professional level only comes around once, If at all, so if you are not prepared your chances will be one and done."

The Orange County team is looking to fill several positions on it's 2012-13 roster. They are encouraging everyone that is interested in achieving their goal to play professional basketball, to come to their free agent camp and see if they have what it takes to make it on their roster. When asked what type of players he was trying to find in the free agent camp Smith replied "Orange County has some hidden talent within the local community, and we hope to see them at the free agent camp in July for a possible position with the team.  There are hometown guys such as Taylor King (Duke), Bussey Ellis (CSU-LA) and many others, who can help build a championship caliber team for the Orange County Novastars".

COO and Head Assistant coach, Glenn Wilkerson added "Orange County has a wealth of untapped basketball talent. One of my goals in purchasing this franchise was to tap into that talent, and give players in Orange County an opportunity to play against some of the best athletes in the US and the world".

The ABA product is perfect for the Orange County market because it promotes community involvement, family entertainment, and an exciting league with a few twists that have always given the ABA it's unique flare.
