Native American Flutist to Perform for "Wounded Warrior"

June 11, 2012 - PRLog -- Saturday, June 16, Native American Flutist Adrian Bailey will perform live at the NarroWay Theatre prior to the inspiring, Apache-influenced show, "Wounded Warrior."   Adrian will perform a number of Native American selections at both the 12pm and 5pm showings. Adrian is a member of the Circle of Native Americans. The organization is an inter-tribal non-profit dedicated to educating society concerning Native American heritage and culture. The group seeks to dispel misconceptions about Native American culture through education.

"To have Adrian performing prior to 'Wounded Warrior' is such an incredible opportunity," says NarroWay's director of public relations, Cheryl Lipian."The Native American theme runs throughout the show, re-enacting events from the life of the great Apache warrior, Geronimo. Most people know about the raids Geronimo led and his uncanny ability to elude both the Mexican and American military. But they don't know about the horrific personal tragedy Geronimo suffered that led to his embittered spirit. By re-telling his story, we are educating and dispelling misconceptions concerning Native American culture as well."

Pre-show begins at 12pm for the matinee and at 5pm for the evening show. The flutist will perform for approximately 30 minutes. The live theatre show follows his performance. All activities are indoors at the NarroWay Theatre. The theatre is located 1/2 mile off I-77 exit 90, just outside of Charlotte.
