June 11, 2012 - PRLog -- Harrisburg University of Science and Technology in Pennsylvania is accepting applications for the Summer Game Academy offered July 23rd through August 4th in the Center for Advanced Entertainment and Learning Technologies.

The Summer Game Academy is an intensive summer program designed to introduce passionate young game designers and developers to the methods and processes used by professional game makers throughout the world.

Led by Charles Palmer, executive director of CAELT, the program focuses on all aspects of the creative process from ideation to problem-solving to delivery. Students will develop skills and strategies to prepare them for a future in the digital media industry.

Students entering grades 9 through 12 wishing to expand their artistic or programming skills should attend this unique program. The Summer Game Academy is an immersive experience designed for high school students interested in video games, interactive simulations, new media and/or the digital arts.

Class size is limited to 12 for the Jul 23-Aug 4 session, which runs Mondays through Saturdays. Limited seats are available.
