Artist John Ross Palmer Attends 2012 Tel Aviv Gay Pride Parade

PRLog (Press Release) - Jun. 10, 2012 - On Friday, June 8, 2012, Artist John Ross Palmer and his husband attorney Ryan Lindsay attended the 15th Annual Tel Aviv Pride Parade in Israel!  Tel Aviv, known as the Gay Capital of the Middle East, welcomed tens of thousands of revelers from around the world that partied and danced in the spirit of equality for all GLBT persons.  For Palmer and Lindsay, this was not their first international Pride Parade, having also attended the massive events in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and Berlin, Germany.  Palmer & Lindsay are also personal trailblazers in the fight for marriage equality, having been legally married in four states and provinces that honor GLBT persons with the same rights as their heterosexual friends: Toronto, Ontario, Canada (July 4, 2008), Provincetown, Massachusetts (July 4, 2009), The District of Columbia (October 23, 2010) and New York City, New York (November 5, 2011).

Palmer says of the Pride Parade in Tel Aviv, "The energy of the Israelis combined with tourists from all over the globe was brilliant and infectious.  For the rest of our lives, my husband Ryan and I will embrace cultures that accept us for who we are.  The people of Tel Aviv are cosmopolitan, intelligent, and unbelievably 'forward' in their thinking.  It was truly an honor to attend."  Palmer and Lindsay gained lots of attention from the crowd, donning nothing more than Texas-themed boots, cowboy hats and skimpy running shorts!  Palmer is in Israel to complete his once-annual international art series, Jerusalem 2012.  It will be unveiled at the John Palmer Art Gallery & Studio in July of 2012.  While in Tel Aviv he will be creating exclusively at Natasha Gutman's Tel Aviv Art Studio.
