Yoursomerset.com to Receive Community Media Excellence Award at Arc of Somerset County Event

PRLog (Press Release) - Jun. 9, 2012 - Yoursomerset.com, the website for and about Somerset County, New Jersey, has been selected as the recipient of the 2012 Arc of Somerset County Community Media Excellence Award. The award is in recognition of yoursomerset.com's promotion and coverage of Arc events, as well as the website's overall commitment to Somerset County and its residents.

The 2012 Somerset County Media Excellence Award will be presented at the Annual Arc of Somerset County Membership Meeting & Awards Ceremony on Monday, June 18th at 5:00 pm. The event will be held at the Holiday Inn, 195 Davidson Avenue in Somerset, New Jersey.

"The Arc's vital importance to the community and its success in improving the quality of life for thousands of area residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities, makes this a very special award for Point Media."

In addition to the Community Media Excellence Award, Arc will honor its volunteers, staff, consumers, supporters, and community partners. Refreshments and exhibitions by program directors will begin at 5:00 pm and the awards program will start at 6:00 pm. The event is free and open to the public.

The Arc of Somerset County serves individuals with developmental disabilities and their families from birth through the senior years of life with many programs and services in Somerset County.
