Burton, a junior, lettered in tennis, wrestling and track for the Falcons while maintaining a 3.7 grade point average. Additionally, he is a member of the Foothill National Honor Society.
“Earning a White Letter is one of the biggest accomplishments of my high school career,” said Burton, 17, who received his first atheltic recruiting letter in wrestling from New York University.
In an era where prep athletes tend to specialize in certain sports, Burton enjoys competition and is looking forward to providing valuable senior leadership for the Falcons tennis team in the fall. In the winter, Burton will compete for a spot on the wrestling team, where he led the team in takedowns (64) and escapes (42) this past season competing at 120 pounds.
It will be on to track and field in the spring, where Burton will be one of several key returnees from the relay team that made it to the state track and field finals in Reno this year.
With continued improvement in sports and the classroom, Burton is hoping to earn a college scholarship.
