Nissan North America Drives Talk To Nissan LEAF™ on “The Balancing Act” on Lifetime Television

Nissan LEAF is the first mass market 100% electric vehicle on the market

(Pompano Beach, FL – June 8, 2012)  Nissan North America adheres to an Environmental Philosophy and Policy that enables them to meet the needs of both customers and the environment. Tune in to “The Balancing Act” on June 13th at 7:00 am (ET/PT) on Lifetime television as viewers are introduced to a new type of car -- the Nissan LEAF.™

The segment will air as part of the “Greening of the American Highway,” series.

The Nissan LEAF™, the world’s first and only all-electric, battery-powered car for the mass market, has up to 100 miles on a single charge. Studies show that Americans drive less than 37 miles per day, and based on national averages it would cost under $3 to fully charge a Nissan LEAF™.  Drivers can use either a public charging station or a home charger to re-charge the battery.

During the segment, featured guest Brendan Jones, Director of Electric Vehicle Marketing & Sales Strategy, will discuss the history of all-electric vehicles (EV’s), where they are currently headed in the market, and other benefits. “The Balancing Act” also takes viewers out of the studio and into the streets to ask drivers what would get them to switch from a gas to an electric car.
