Socialize your calendar with the SynkMonkey app

Thousands of people are already using SynkMonkey on the iPhone to schedule plans, and now Android users get to reap the benefits of this versatile, one-of-a-kind app.

SynkMonkey seamlessly combines text messaging, mapping, and calendar functionality into one efficient and user-friendly planning and invite tool, making scheduling plans with friends easy and accurate. CEO Hunter Murchison wanted to create a cross-platform app that would allow users to manage their events and calendars while on-the-go.

The professionally acclaimed SynkMonkey app allows users to create events, set a date, time, and place (via Google Maps), and then share this information with friends, family, and colleagues. The app’s calendar syncs with the native calendar on users’ phones, thus, when any real-time updates are made, the app instantly updates the info on the users’ calendar as well. Unlike other mobile scheduling applications, an invitee does not have to have the app in order to receive the event message. Instead, invitees will receive a text message with a unique link to a special event site where they can accept or decline the invitation and send a group message.

In conjunction with the release of SynkMonkey in the Android Market, the company is launching a contest in which Android and iPhone users have the chance to win a free iPad or a $500 Amazon gift certificate. Participants need only download the free SynkMonkey app, create an event and invite three contacts, and “like” the SynkMonkey Facebook page, and they are automatically entered in the drawing.  Additionally, once friends accept a user’s invite, the user automatically receives additional entries into the contest.
