News 12 Long Island Receives 19 Press Club Of Long Island Awards

June 8, 2012 - PRLog -- The Press Club of Long Island (PCLI) presented News 12 Long Island with 19 honors, including 7 first place wins, making them one of the top winners of the night at its awards banquet held at the Woodbury Country Club last night.  

“We're extremely proud of these Press Club of Long Island honors and the News 12 Long Island staff members who achieved them," said Pat Dolan, News 12 Long Island News Director. "This winning work reflects credit on everyone in our newsroom -- and proves once again that News 12 Long Island delivers quality journalism that's as local as local news gets."

News 12 Long Island received awards in the following categories:

First Place Awards:

The Press Club of Long Island is a local chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists and awards distributed at their dinner are for the calendar year 2011.  

In addition to these PCLI awards, this year News 12 Long Island also garnered five New York Emmy awards, two Edward R. Murrow awards, four New York Press Club awards, four first place New York Associated Press awards, and one Deadline Club award from the New York chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists.
