The Press Club of Long Island is a local chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists and awards distributed at their dinner are for the calendar year 2011.
In addition to these PCLI awards, this year News 12 Long Island also garnered five New York Emmy awards, two Edward R. Murrow awards, four New York Press Club awards, four first place New York Associated Press awards, and one Deadline Club award from the New York chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists.
