“Central Broward is a hub of Latin and Caribbean tourism, and officials have taken notice,” says Maria Munro, general manager of Unique Productions, a Davie-based events company and the educational campaign coordinator. “I’m in a service business. I know first-hand the value of good employees and their ability to make a business stand apart.”
Inspired by Broward County’s SUNsational Service awards program, the Lauderhill Chamber wants to expand the reach of an accessible and affordable training program to the city level.
To make this happen, a partnership has been created between the Lauderhill Regional Chamber of Commerce, the City of Lauderhill Economic Development Office, and the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) to launch “Lauderhill Exceptional Service,” which will provide customer service training sessions, and more.
“The campaign will promote Central Broward businesses, add value to Chamber membership, and increase membership, raising funds and awareness in the process,” says Munro.
The official campaign launch is scheduled for Friday, July 13 at the monthly Chamber breakfast held at the Plantation Renaissance Hotel. With advance purchase of a ”Lauderhill Exceptional Service,” wristband for a $5 donation, guests join the breakfast for free and learn about the program and how they can take part.
