The course introduces critical OSHA policies and procedures as well as general industry safety and health principles. The two-day course is conducted by Volt's OSHA trainers. "This course is designed for workers in supervisory roles with safety and health responsibilities,"
Course topics include inspections, citations, penalties, walking and working surfaces, fire and egress, electrical, personal protective equipment, machine guarding, hazard communication, accident investigation, material handling, confined spaces, blood borne pathogens and ergonomics. Attendees receive an OSHA course completion card and a copy of J.J. Keller's OSHA Safety Handbook.
The course fee is $100 for VCEDA members and $150 for all others. "A safe workplace is vital to not only the wellbeing of employees, but to the success of the company," says Bill Buratto, VCEDA president and CEO. "This is the second year VCEDA and Volt has joined together to offer this important program."
