June 7, 2012 - PRLog -- Every beautiful backsplash is bare without the correct color switchplate to compliment it.  After spending hours on colors, style and layout for a backsplash that will make your neighbors jealous, there is one small detail that is overlooked.  If natural stone backsplash has been your dream, now you can enhance it with a switchplate to compliment it.

What is a cast stone switchplate anyways?  Cast stone switchplates are made with real stone particles, but mixed with a quality resin to give it better finishes and durability.  The problem with real stone is the fact that they have to machine down a stone tile with cuts and grooves to fit the outlet specifications.  As soon as you start manipulating the stone, it becomes weak and more likely to crack and break.  That is why it is best to use the cast stone materials.  Here is a breakdown of the different types of cast stone plates that are offered:

The first brand of switch plate is the Questech Weybridge. The weybridge plates come in 4 color choices with 10 configurations to choose from.  Weybridge switchplates come in travertine, noche, sand and sahara finishes.  The more light to dark approach with basic colors.  These are a smooth cast stone material perfect for the do it yourselfer.

The second brand of switchplate is the Stonique Switchplates.  The Stonique is more simulated to look like tumbled natural stone.  The manufacturing process allows for the pits and grooves in the plate to look more like natural stone.  The nice thing about these plates is the color choice.  There are 12 colors available from almost white to a black plate to compliment the Nero Marquina Marble.  Stonique has a standard selection of over 20 configurations with the option for custom sizes and configurations as well.

The third choice we offer is a hammered copper switchplate.  Obviously, these are not a cast stone, but a truly handcrafted in Mexico solid copper plate.  The copper plates would be perfect to match a patina copper or even an oil rubbed bronze mural or metal accents that may have been used in the kitchen backsplash design.  Available in 9 configurations as well.  There is also a field tile in a 4" x 4" or a 6" x 6" size as well to use as a deco.

Whatever your choice, using either a Questech Weybridge, Stonique or Hammered Copper switchplate will add the final touch to the kitchen backsplash.  For more information please vist us at http://www.mytilebacksplash.com.  Along with the selection of switchplates, we offer glass tiles, ceramic tile, natural stone, metal tile and accents and everything that would be needed to showcase a beautiful kitchen backsplash in your home.
