Masquerade ball to raise money for children’s respite charity

Sussex-based charity The Children’s Respite Trust will be hosting a Masquerade Ball on 24 November as a major event in its fundraising calendar.

June 7, 2012 - PRLog -- Taking place at The Cavendish Hotel in Eastbourne, the ball will be organised and supported by The Cavendish Club, a business networking club for supporters of the charity.

Guests will be greeted on arrival with a drinks reception, moving on to the grand ballroom for a sumptuous three-course banquet. The evening will play host to an array of entertainment including circus acts, a casino, live musicians well as an auction.

Chief Executive of The Children’s Respite Trust, Gavin Fisher, said: “This is the first event of its kind undertaken by the charity. We are really grateful to everyone involved in organising the event which we will be a fun way to raise much-needed money for the charity. We have already sold 70 out of the 200 tickets available which is a great start. Of course, this event wouldn’t be possible without the support of our sponsors Carlton Property Management, McCarthy Webb, JP South Events, Barclays Bank and Corinne’s Kitchen Designs, who are also involved in organising the event along with Kate Hinchliffe of Humphrey and Co and Lisa Symmonds of Southdown Surveyors.”

The Children’s Respite Trust, whose patrons include Roger Daltrey CBE and Jayne Torvill OBE, was set-up over a year ago to help improve the lives of children with profound learning and physical disabilities by giving them and their families a short break at a number of respite centres throughout Sussex and Kent. The charity also provides caseworkers who work with families to achieve respite on their behalf.
Tickets for the ball cost £50 and are on sale at www.childrensrespitetrust.org.uk
