Prima system is implemented at Mulberry Somerset factory

PRLog (Press Release) - Jun. 7, 2012 - Following its recent extension of The Rookery, Mulberry's Somerset based UK factory, the luxury leather goods provider has further boosted its commitment to UK manufacturing with the implementation of a new technology computer system to support its production.

The recent factory extension at The Rookery created 50 new jobs and saw UK production capacity increase by 30%. The new computer system, developed to support Mulberry's ‘Lean Manufacture Concept’, will deliver improvements to production planning, production tracking, materials requirements planning, materials procurement and usage, as well as providing greater visibility of production progress and stock availability. Enhanced management reporting will provide detailed insight and analysis of the entire process to ensure efficiency and to support effective decision-making.

The new system has been developed in close collaboration with Mulberry's specialist fashion systems provider, Prima Solutions.
