announce a strategic alliance with Jean-Michel Cousteau as the firm’s Exclusive
Consultant. The partnership will utilize DID, Inc.’s marine interior design
expertise and Jean-Michel’s extensive knowledge of marine environments and
utilize Cousteau’s experience in marine conservation to strengthen their existing
marine interiors division.

Explorer, environmentalist, educator, filmmaker, architect – Jean-Michel

Cousteau has used his vast experiences to communicate his love and concern for
our water planet. The son of Jacques Cousteau, Jean-Michel founded Ocean Futures Society in 1999 to
carry on his pioneering work. The Ocean Futures Society is a non profit marine conservation and
education organization committed to inspire the world to act responsibly for its protection. As Ocean
Futures’ president, Jean-Michel serves as a diplomat for environmental sustainability, providing
educational opportunities and reaching out to the public through a variety of media.

Jean-Michel graduated from the Paris School of Architecture in 1964 and is a member of the Ordre
National de Architects. In 1969, Jean-Michel directed the team that transformed a 100,000 square foot
section of the former ocean liner, Queen Mary, into the Living Sea Museum in Long Beach, California. In
2005, Jean-Michel Cousteau Fiji Islands Resort received Conde Naste’s top environmental design award.
Other architectural projects include floating islands, schools, and an advanced, marine studies center in
Marseilles, France.
