Keep It Simple With A Family Holiday This Summer

This summer take the children on a holiday which is not too far away, but yet offers the family a wonderful time together.

June 6, 2012 - PRLog -- Two thirds of the British people take their holidays in July and August, these are the most popular months for holidays, simply because the English school children are on holiday from the end of July to the beginning of September, so keep it simple this year and enjoy your time together as a family.

These days it would seem to be very hard to amuse children, they seem to have everything, computers, TVs, iPads, a DS, and the simple things in life like walking, going for a bicycle ride, playing a simple game of football, cricket or just amusing themselves with a colouring book, has gone out of the window.

Whatever happened to the good old family holiday with just sun, sea, and sand to play outdoors with friends and family members, today it is just a matter of ‘keep up with the Jones’ if a child comes home from school, and wants to go to some far off destination just simply because Mary, John, Peter or Paul have made a statement they are going off for a magnificent holiday somewhere in the sun, parents immediately react, we as parents all fall into this trap.

This summer take the children on a holiday which is not too far away, but yet offers the family a wonderful time together, bonding, getting to know exactly what each member loves to do for fun and more importantly join in and also have fun, it’s not all about opening a wallet and spending.

A caravanning holiday offers you total control over your well-earned time off; you have control over when you get up, when you eat, where you go and what you do when you get there.  Enjoy the simple things in life and many British people spend much of their free time during the summer months down by the sea, the children enjoy swimming in the sea and building sandcastles, and many will choose a campsite Devon or Cornwall this summer.

There are many places near the sea such as a caravan park Cornwall, Blackpool, Scarborough, Bournemouth, and Devon, and if it rains what the heck, there is always plenty to do even in the rain.  A survey of the UK’s most popular tourist destinations include the Lake District, the Cotswolds, Dorset, Scotland and of course Devon and Cornwall.

Britain offers many interesting holiday experiences; you can rent a static caravan on campsites in Cornwall or a holiday cottage anywhere from Scotland to Lands’ End, take a boating holiday, and sleep in a log cabin in a secluded forest.

With so many wonderful destinations throughout the UK you are sure to research and come up with the perfect location that will be perfect for the whole family, Cornwall caravan parks have much to offer and of course most are near the sea for all the fun this type of holiday offers all age groups.

A spokesman for Wooda Farm Holiday Park located in North Cornwall said “there is nothing more fun than staying on a caravan park no matter where either a Devon caravan park, one in Cornwall, or any destination around the UK.  The most important thing is enjoying the simple things in life and switching off for a short time”.
