Jun. 6, 2012 - Puneeta is a gold medalist in Master of Education. She was actively involved in literary activities during her student life also. She taught at Kendriya Vidalaya and later at B.Ed College in Karnataka. In 1991, she left the job and took to full time writing. In the last 18 years, she has to her credit over 300 published short stories. Her short stories, articles, poems, plays have appeared in many magazines such as Women's Era, Femina, Swagat (Indian Airlines In-flight Magazine), Alive, Champak, and Children's World. Leading newspapers like 'The Times of India' and 'Deccan Herald' have published her short stories.

, but hardly immature. Especially the school-children will find their classrooms, the formidable principal, typically ruthless class-teachers, and the school-friends in the stories. The friends are quite like those appeared in R. K. Narayan’s Malgudi stories. They are not innately well-behaved, innocent and studious. The author, masterfully, sensed the pulse of the typical school-children. Their little pranks add flavor to the narratives. Puneeeta seems, very well-known about the scientific thinking-process of the children. She deals with the otherwise complicated area of child-psychology, her own area of study.
