“The Durabook U12Ci’s ultra-like features such as long battery life and Intel Smart Response Technology in a lightweight, rugged form factor, make an excellent combination for public safety applications where notebook performance and durability is critical,” commented Jen Chen, GammaTech president. “The first rugged tablet starting at less than $1,000, the U12Ci gives public safety access to the latest technology while being sensitive to today’s budgetary constraints.”
Mission Critical Reliability
With its rugged durability, the U12Ci stands up to the unpredictable and harsh environments seen by public safety professionals both in the field and in-vehicle. It comes standard with a 12.1” convertible TFT, LED display with resistive touch-screen. An optional digitizer is available for e-Signatures in the field, as is a sunlight-readable function for bright-light usage during the day and outdoors. Additionally, its expandable memory capability and long battery life is ideal for mission critical situations where reliability is absolutely essential.
Perfect In A Vehicle and In the Field
When mounted in a public safety vehicle using the docking station (optional), the U12Ci brings all the capabilities of a desktop computer to the field. With a slim and lightweight design of only 5.5-pounds, the U12Ci is perfect for in-field applications where it can be easily carried using its built-in ergonomic handle. Then, it can quickly convert between a notebook and tablet depending on user preference.
