Thermal treatment technologies such as In-Situ Thermal Desorption (ISTD) have been expensive to operate in the past. Traditional ISTD methods have used electricity to generate heat, creating electricity demands and requiring power upgrades to existing utilities. Grant Geckeler, Executive Vice President of TPS TECH America, said “Until recently, thermal treatment technologies have been out of reach for many property owners. TPS TECH’s expansion into North America and Australia mark the second time in as many months that TPS TECH has expanded into a new market. In April TPS TECH expanded into Italy, and now operates an office near Venice. This continues plans to develop and expand the global network of TPS TECH, and there is already strong demand for GTR© at project sites in Asia and South America.
