PRLog - June 5, 2012 - TORONTO -- Horizon Arts Camp (a day camp in Toronto, Ontario) is excited to announce that participants in our Leader-In-Training Program (students finishing grade 9 and 10) can now receive high school credit! Through a partnership with Academy C60, a private alternative school in mid-town Toronto, campers can get credit for participating in our Leadership Program this summer. David Berger, Principal of Academy C60 says, “So much learning happens outside of the school year” and he is eager to find ways for students to take advantage of other learning experiences.
Where Artistic Kids Belong, Excel & Shine!
Horizon Arts Camp’s Leadership Program takes place from July 2nd – August 17th, at our summer-site, Kingsway College School, a private school in Etobicoke. It includes hands-on workshops in communication, problem-solving, teamwork, game facilitation, public speaking, career preparation and more. In addition to the positive life skill development participants will receive, they will also enjoy hands-on arts training from industry professionals!
Participants also receive mentorship sessions from guest professionals in music, dance, theatre and art, go on behind the scenes field trips to arts venues (such as theatres, TV stations, galleries etc.), and attend a 3-day overnight trip!
This summer, give kids an opportunity to be immersed in an experiential learning environment like no other!
