U.S. Olympic Team Trials - Track & Field
Feynman Group has partnered with Track Town USA once again and donated a portion of their services to design and develop the official Website for the 2012 U.S. Olympic Team Trials - Track & Field, www.tracktown12.com. The event is the largest national championship track meet in the world and will select the athletes to represent Team USA at the London Olympic Games in 2012.
“It’s rewarding because this is such an important event for Eugene but also the entire nation” says COO, Mark Tschetter. “The Olympics represent something that is so special and storied, it’s just great to be part of it. It’s exciting to know the best athletes in our country are going to this Website to get prepared for such an important event in their lives.”
Track Town USA initially approached The Feynman Group back in 2007 when they were searching for a company capable of designing a multi functional site to represent the 2008 U.S. Olympic Team Trials - Track & Field. Company CEO, Scotty McConnell, served on the steering committee as a technical advisor and oversaw the launch their official 2008 site.
The company was approached again for the 2012 Olympic Trials and was asked to design an even more complex Website that integrated real time news, media, and updates to allow fans, athletes and sponsors to stay current. “Our biggest challenge was to provide a vast amount of technology options for the user while allowing administrators of all technical backgrounds to make updates and easily publish content” says Tschetter.
The Feynman Group developers were able to overcome the challenge by building the site with Tuva Content Management System (CMS). Tuva CMS allows Track Town 12 site administrators to keep the site current without having to be a web programmer. The company also utilized Tuva CMS to build www.gotrackownusa.com, Track Town USA’s permanent site and a resource for track and field information and news.
