Leadership Flagler is one of nearly 700 nationwide programs that shape high-profile community leaders. During the three-month program, participants gain insight and appreciation for key Flagler County operations including business, government, health & human services, art & culture, agriculture and growth management. This year, the Chamber will honor nine up and coming community leaders:
Matt Maxwell, Craig Flagler Palms Funeral Home
Shannon Kenton, JBirney Financial
Jim Russell, Flagler Chrysler Dodge Jeep
Jerusha Logan, Flagler County NAACP
Catherine Groom, Flagler County Chamber of Commerce
Deborah Williams, Flagler County Schools
Harmony Henry, Hammock Beach Resort
Amy Kerber, Preferred Management Services
John Distler, Servpro
Since its start in 1993, Leadership Flagler has graduated nearly 200 professionals. As a graduation requirement, each class is expected to come up with and undertake a community service project. Last year’s class held Masquerade Ball that raised more than $7,000 for two local non-profit organizations, the Josh Crews Fund and DonateYourMachine.org. This year’s graduates will reveal their class project during the luncheon.
Tickets are $20 for Leadership Flagler Alumni and $22 for Chamber members. Please specify your lunch preference -- Parmesan encrusted tilapia or grilled vegetable Wellington -- when reserving your space. For more information, call the Flagler County Chamber of Commerce & Affiliates 386.437.0106.
