Will McGee of EDTS Named to Technology Association Advisory Board

June 5, 2012 - PRLog -- AUGUSTA, GA and GREENVILLE, SC – The Technology Association of Georgia (TAG), the state’s leading association dedicated to the promotion and economic advancement of Georgia’s technology industry, has named Will McGee, Chief Information Officer of Augusta-based EDTS, as a member of the newly formed TAG Greater Augusta advisory board.

TAG is the largest technology trade association in the southeast with more than 16,600 members representing more than 1,700 companies. TAG Greater Augusta, one of the organization’s newest chapters, was developed to support the growth of the technology industry in the region and extend TAG resources throughout the state.  EDTS is a full-service technology consulting firm specializing in network security and managed services support solutions for Southeastern business, and is headquartered in Augusta.

A native of Greenwood, South Carolina, Mr. McGee has more than 15 years in the technology industry designing networks, wide area networks and security solutions for a diverse client base.  A Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, he serves as Chief Information Officer of EDTS – a company he joined in 2000.  He leads the operations and customer service components of the rapidly growing EDTS organization, now exceeding 40 professional employees and named as one of Inc. Magazine's 5000 Fastest-Growing Private Companies in America for 2010 and 2011.  Mr. McGee holds both a B.S. in Finance and an M.B.A. in Management Information Systems from the University of South Carolina – Columbia.
