Barbados-based Heart Specialist Looks at a Twisted Heart in his New Book “SWITCHED”

PRLog (Press Release) - Jun. 5, 2012 - Limegrove’s Relish Epicurea was the place to be when Dr Alfred Sparman launched his new book SWITCHED at the popular Barbadian West Coast bistro.

The weather matched the mood of the event, as the sultry humidity took on a Costa Rican theme to match one of the three locations visited in the book, the emcee for the night was Slam FM’s Lady NV. Complete with a guitarist regaling popular Latin instrumentals, the evening was highly enjoyed by all, especially those who waited in long lines to get their new copies of 1.58 Seconds and SWITCHED signed by Dr Sparman himself, who read an excerpt {CLICK ON FOLLOWING LINK FOR FULL AUDIO};-

“SWITCHED” is intricately crafted with Sparman as the protagonist. The book unfolds a transatlantic adventure, exploring food and culture, crime and mystery, suspense, sex, drama, love and deception.

The specialist, whose Clinic is at #4 on 6th Avenue Belleville, explained the medical background behind the title of his first book {CLICK ON FOLLOWING LINK FOR FULL AUDIO};-

“1.58 Seconds” fictionally expresses the integral relationship between living and dying. Travel with Alfred as he confronts his own demons before time runs out and a man’s life is lost. Time is against him, every second passing brings patient Jimmy closer to the other side. With the four minute schedule given to him, would he rupture an artery with his scalpel under such pressure? Could he actually deliver that final blow? Or take a man’s life??? Only time would tell…

‘1.58 Seconds‘ and ‘SWITCHED‘ are part of a trilogy and he’s considering yet another set of writings. The cardiologist already plans on penning short stories as well and immersing himself fully in writing, but he also likes to play as hard as he works.
There is no twin in his real life, but he says people who hate your success are as dangerous as a doppelganger and secretly want your life, so be very careful out there!
