Mango-mania @ Flurys from May 31st to June 17th

It’s the most natural and delicious distraction from the heat and sun. To say the least, Mangoes, come as Mother Nature’s sop to mankind for the sun’s havoc and the distant monsoon. Carrying the legacy of Mangoes far and beyond, Flurys- the legendary tearoom and Swiss confectionary of Kolkata, is hosting Mango-Mania, a fresh mango promotion from May 31st to June 17th.

Raw or ripe, peeled or skinned, sliced or pulped, Mango- the king of fruits, brings sheer delight to all. Come May, and all one can find with the local costermonger is, the juiciest and the ripest mangoes, in all its varieties, like - Alfonso, Langda, Gulab Khas, Dassehri and many more. It is, during this time of the year when one can’t miss that faint mesmerizing and tangy smell of pickles coming from the serpentine lanes and by lanes of towns and cities.

Mango is perhaps the only fruit, which can alone be used in varied ways, not just for desserts but also in starters, entrees, main course and desserts! To show just how much a humble mango can come in handy to whip up an entire meal is what Flurys has come up with, this season. Ringing in Mango-Mania, Flurys is set to give mango-lovers, a tantalizing taste this mango season.

You sure know, where to head this summer just when you run out of your mango stock at home!! At Flurys, begin your indulgence with Mango and Melon Gazpacho (sour cream, garlic toast), King Caeser (salad amalgamated with fresh mangoes, with or without bacon). For a little heavier meal, excuse yourself from your calorie-free diet and dig into the sinful Grilled mango habanera chicken (stuffed with mango butter and served with raw mango tossed potatoes) or Curry flavoured sea bass and mango skewers served with baby potatoes and sautéed green beans. Round off the mango meal sweetly either with the mango and butterscotch smoothie or with the gooey fresh mango whoopee.


These special ‘mangolicious’ delicacies will not only be available at Flurys Tearoom but also across all Flurys counter outlets, including the latest one in Salt Lake (HB244).
