Rumberger Kirk & Caldwell Attorney Elected Treasurer of FL Association for Women Lawyers Chapter

June 4, 2012 - PRLog -- MIAMI – Monica C. Segura, an associate in the Miami office of Rumberger, Kirk & Caldwell, has been elected Treasurer of the Miami-Dade chapter of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers. She will be installed during the annual awards luncheon on June 15 at the Intercontinental Miami.

Segura practices in the areas of construction law, premises liability, products liability, casualty and toxic tort defense. During her years of practice, she has successfully argued substantive motions, as well as conducted and defended numerous depositions, mediated cases to settlement, and obtained a defense verdict in a contract dispute matter.

A member of the Dade County Bar, Segura was also the Vice-Chair of both the Events Committee and the Community Liaison Committee and the Co-Chair of the Young Lawyers Steering Committee of the Cuban American Bar Association.  Ms. Segura was also on the Board of Directors of the Cuban American Bar Association.  She also served on the Board of Governors of the Florida Bar, Young Lawyers Division.

Segura has been named a Florida Super Lawyers Rising Star for the years 2009 through 2011.  She was also listed in the Global Directory of Who's Who Online.  Ms. Segura was also named a Florida Trend Legal Elite "Up & Coming Attorney” in 2009.
