June 3, 2012 - PRLog -- Hannah Newhouse, driving the #61 Coca-Cola/ESPN the FAN sponsored Chevrolet, scored her second win of the season and fifth consecutive top three performance in the Super Stock division at the third-mile paved oval of Magic Valley Speedway in Twin Falls, Idaho.

Newhouse also set fast time for the feature NASCAR Whelen All American Series division at MVS and finished second in her heat race. Newhouse was confident heading into the race and was focused on applying lessons learned from previous races where lapped traffic and her racing line have challenged the 15-year old at times this season.

Saturday night Newhouse was flawless in her line and drove under and around the field impressing the most seasoned fan. The victory moved Newhouse closer to point leader Kris McKean who finished second. The pair will face off again on June 16 in double 40-lap main events.

Meanwhile, about eight hours south in Las Vegas, NV, Braden Havens was back in the #61 Thompson Motorsports machine at the Star Nusery "200" for the NASCAR K&N Pro Series race at The Bullring at LVMS.

Havens qualified eighth in his third race for the veteran team and had worked his way up running in sight of the leaders when he was tagged by another competitor on the front-stretch causing his mount to spin into the turn one retaining wall at the pit entrance.

Fortunately for Havens the damage was minimal and he was able to continue albeit at the tail of the field. Over the closing laps he was able to rebound and move into the 12th position in the final running order.

Brett Thompson will be back behind the wheel of the #61 NKNPS machine for the June 23 road course event at Sears Point in Sonoma, CA while Havens is slated to pilot the car July 14 in Monroe, WA.
