MasterChef is a highly successful television show that selects contestants from random people across the United States – brought together by show creator and founder Gordon Ramsay; the contestants are presented with an apron if they make the “Cut”.  The show producers combed the country for 60,000 contestants who competed regionally. Of all the amateur chefs who audition nationwide, one hundred are chosen to cook their signature dish for the three judges. Judges are: Gordon Ramsay, local Chicago chef Graham Elliott and restaurateur and vineyard owner Joe Bastianich.

As a lifelong Chicagoan, Tali was selected to be one of the Top 100 Amateur Chefs in the country.  Then thirty-six finalists will compete for the top spot on the show and each was presented with a MasterChef apron from the host. From the initial 36 – the number drops to 18 cast members. One person goes home each and every show.  Each week contestants are given the same ingredients to create their signature dishes.  The activities include cooking individually, selecting an item from a “mystery box”, team challenges and a task called ‘pressure test” where the contestant must replicate a dish created by one of the judges.

The Season 3 of MasterChef airs on Monday & Tuesday June 4 & 5 and progresses for 18 weeks. Check out www.fox.com/masterchef.  Join Tali and his band mates and friends at Birdsnest’s Bar 2500 N. Southport Ave (1 Block north of Fullerton) for a 7 pm and 8pm viewing for both evenings. Tali created a birdsnest recipe on the show.  The best chef on the show meets the best wings and sauce in Chicago! Fly on over and join Tali and friends to celebrate the launch of his appearance on the show.

He is gearing up to launch his signature line of aprons online, where his vision is simple: provide a meal for a family with the purchase of every apron. With his actions he hopes to prevent diseases and malnutrition in third world countries.
