The 11U Majors Team Combat team competed in its 22nd tournament of the season and finished 3rd after losing to the Bullets Gold from Tampa who fished first in the tournament and currently ranked 5th in the US as ranked by Travel Ball Select.
After adding a few more players to the roster Team Combat has gone 13-2 with two tournament wins and the most recent 3rd place finish at the State Championships and adding another 200 points to their total. Team Combat still leads over 400 11U Majors teams in USSSA national point’s category.
One of the main sources of building teamwork and character has always been youth sports. Team combat 11U is part of The Central Florida Baseball Academy (CFBA). The CFBA helps in developing positive character traits and a keen understanding of the sport of baseball through the Team Combat baseball teams. CFBA’s Combat 11U team for the 2011-2012 is dedicated to teaching all participants a commitment to lifetime fundamentals, both on and off the field. The program begins with a top-level travel baseball coach, and includes players and committed parents who understand that it takes one big family to create a winning team, both on and off the field.
CFBA doesn’t simply teach the basic fundamentals, they teach the game of baseball. The academy provides each player with year-round instruction and quality coaching from experienced professionals and strives to instill a strong sense of sportsmanship and teamwork in each player, while learning to become successful in the fundamentals of baseball.
