Follow on Google News | Microsoft® BizSpark® startup company MotoMechanx™ goes BETAMotoMechanx, an online garage for car, truck, and bike enthusiasts, released their BETA site this week with support from Microsoft’s BizSpark program.
By: Intelli-Focus MotoMechanx, an idea brought to reality by co-founders Jose Segura and Bob Wall was chosen to be part of Microsoft’s worldwide BizSpark program in 2011. The program helps software startups succeed by giving them access to software development tools, connecting them with key industry players, and providing marketing visibility. The program also includes access to Windows Azure, a flexible, comprehensive, and powerful cloud platform for the creation of web applications and services. Bob Wall, co-founder of MotoMechanx, said, “Being selected into the program gave us the ability to really create an incredible product. Microsoft Window’s Azure is a huge part of how we were able to create our dream – a true wheels in the cloud site for car enthusiasts.” The southern California startup was also recently nominated by Microsoft Evangelist, Aaron Stannard, to be part of the BizSpark+® program. Only 1 percent (1%) of all BizSpark startups are chosen to be part of the “plus” program. “Just to be nominated is pretty surreal. We started this company because we love software and cars, and now we get to work everyday doing both of the things we love the most.” MotoMechanx is open to the public and is offering free 15-day trial memberships that don’t require a credit card to sign-up. After the initial trial period, memberships to the site start at $2.99/month. Read more about MotoMechanx by visiting www.motomechanx.com/ End
