Andrea Kimberlin - Miss KY United States 2012 - to attend ADA Step Out Walk in Lexington, KY on 6/2

June 1, 2012 - PRLog -- Andrea Kimberlin , Miss Kentucky United States 2012, will be participating in the American Diabetes Association's Step Out Walk to Stop Diabetes fundraising walk at Keeneland Raceway in Lexington Kentucky on Saturday June 2, 2012.  

The American Diabetes Association's Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes is a one-day fundraising and awareness walk which helps raise money to change the future of diabetes and help the 400,000 Kentuckians with diabetes.

The event registration starts at 7:45am, the welcome is 8:30am, and the walk starts at 9:00am.  The walk winds through the grounds of the Keeneland Raceway.    There is a 2.5 mile or a 1 mile Fun Walk.  

Participants may register and recruit co-workers, friends and family to walk and raise money. The event is family friendly. There will be a children's area with crafts and activities, refreshments and a health and fitness fair.  Additionally, a special tent will be set up for participants with type 1, type 2, or gestational diabetes.
