Milwaukee, Wis. — PEAK Industrial Solutions (http://www.cmmsmadeeasy.com), an internationally recognized maintenance technology solution provider and consulting and training firm, is featured in the May issue of Maintenance Technology magazine. The article by Kris Bagadia, president of PEAK, highlighted a computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) implementation at Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center, one of PEAK’s clients. St. Luke’s, located in Milwaukee, employs approximately 41 maintenance technicians who support the 938-bed hospital on a 2 million-plus square foot campus.

The article explains the process St. Luke’s and PEAK took to select and implement a new CMMS Web-based solution. The many positive results from six years of planning and upgrades are driving hospital management to pursue enterprise-wide management by the end of 2012.

Kris Bagadia, president of PEAK says, “We were honored to be featured in the May issue of Maintenance Technology. The Aurora Healthcare project and case study would not have been possible without the commitment and support from Aurora Healthcare’s senior management to implement a world-class planning and scheduling process and CMMS system (http://cmmsmadeeasy.com/product/cmms.html). This case study offers a benchmark for any facility considering a CMMS upgrade or new implementation.”

St. Luke’s examined and improved many elements of its maintenance operations, including process flow, planning and scheduling, receiving and prioritizing work orders, defining roles, preventive maintenance, and the use of mobile technology.

Kris Bagadia, President of PEAK says, “Basics first then technology. Once you determine the appropriate process flow, and planning requirements for your plant operations, then the right technology can help you tremendously. The trick is to make sure your CMMS supports your process flow, planning and scheduling model.”
