FINR Brain Atlas App Awarded the 18th Annual Communicator - Silver Award of Distinction

PRLog (Press Release) - May 31, 2012 - Wauchula, Florida (May 30, 2012) – The FINR Brain Atlas iTunes app developed and distributed by the Florida Institute for Neurologic Rehabilitation, Inc. (FINR) has been awarded the Communicator Silver Award of Distinction for mobile applications in the Health & Wellness category.  This distinguished competition is judged and overseen by the International Academy of the Visual Arts (IAVA).

Released in 2011, the FINR Brain Atlas app allows users to investigate the structures of the brain and common brain injuries through an interactive 3-dimensional model.  Injury models include:  aneurysm, anoxic/hypoxic encephalopathy, cerebral contusion, cerebral infarction/stroke, diffuse axonal injury, intraventricular hemorrhage, penetrating head wound, subarachnoid hemorrhage, and subdural hematoma.
