Lime Light Fashion Presents BeDecked!

May 31, 2012 (Seattle, WA) – BeDecked! fashion show and interactive auction is a glamorous and seductive night of collective artistry featuring the work of local fashion and jewelry designers to be held on June 28, 2012 from 7-10pm in BMW Seattle's showroom. The event is a fundraiser to raise start-up capital for a costume and gown warehouse superstore and show venue that brings the experience of walking the runway to shoppers in need of a pick-me-up. Seattle-based costume and accessories designer, and Owner of Lime Light Fashion, Angelique Ashton is producing the show designed around the idea of demonstrating what the store will bring to the community.

The runway show will be MC'd by Seattle’s two most fabulous queens, Jessica Riggs Mrs. Washington America and Isis, Seattle's own rising star female impersonator. Auctioneer Keith Silberg will then take over and keep the fun going as designer clothing and jewelry is sold right off the models.

Jessica Riggs said, “I am so honored to be a co-host of this super fun event. I love fashion and the glitz and glamour that goes with it. This event not just another appearance for me, it’s about spreading confidence and ensuring everyone in the audience leaves feeling good about themselves, which is a big job, but  that's what Lime Light Fashion is all about and I'm happy to be a part of it.”

The format for this event is very different from other fashion show/auctions. There will be an interactive element that allows audience members to sign up to model some of the auction items. There will also be a burlesque performance from the one and only Sailor St. Claire, The Showgirl Scholar, DJ Gold E Lox will be spinning tunes, and Pearl Vodka will be there to offer two signature drinks to each guest. Of course there will be fashion but this event is so much more than a fashion show.

BeDecked! has also partnered with Ruby Room Seattle and Queen, It’s a New Day, two local charities whose missions are aligned with that of Lime Lime Fashion. We are asking our attendees to bring new and/or gently used clothing to donate to these great causes. Call it a trade-off and bring in your old and get some new. Everyone wins.

“Our main mission is to promote self-esteem in women and teens,” says Ashton. “In our store ballroom dancers and beauty queens will shop alongside teens looking for prom dresses, and everyone can put on something sparkly, walk the runway and encourage each other to feel accepted, confident and gorgeous in their own skin.”

Ms. Ashton plans to leverage experience gained working on the production side of Art and Fashion shows as well as several years of business management to successfully operate Lime Light Fashion House, planned to open in Seattle in January of 2013 or as soon as her funding goal is reached.

“I believe this is an idea for our time,” says Ashton “it will help to attract other retailers to Seattle's SoDo district where we plan to locate the store, it will provide a one-stop-shop for stage performance and pageant needs as well as a fun and exciting venue for fashion industry events, and allow us to do good in the world.”
