Imaginuity Continues Beautification of Cadiz Bridge Landmark

May 31, 2012 - PRLog -- DALLAS, TX (5/30/2012) –On Saturday, June 23, Imaginuity will complete mural work on the east side of the Cadiz Street railroad bridge tunnel, which successfully began in the fall of 2011. The mural, designed by the award-winning creative department of Imaginuity, welcomes visitors and residents to the South Side neighborhood. It illustrates the character and culture that thrives in the South Side and Cedars neighborhood, which is undergoing revitalization and improvement.

The landmark railroad bridge, which is still in use today, has suffered vandalism and neglect over time. As neighbors of the bridge, Imaginuity employees, friends and family painted the initial mural in a 12-hour period in November 2011. Working with Jeff West of Matthews Southwest and the South Side Public Improvement, Imaginuity designed a sustainable mural design for this historic bridge tunnel that depicts both the social draws of downtown Dallas as well as the vibrant arts of the South Side neighborhood.

For the second stage of the mural project, Imaginuity will complete the mural on the east side of the bridge the morning of June 23. The event will include entertainment, local food truck service and appearances by local people of interest.
