Another year approaches in the 2nd Annual Sam’s Club BBQ Tour set to take place on June 2nd, 2012 at the Marietta Sam’s Club located at Sam's Club, 150 S. Cobb Pkwy. S., Marietta, GA. Pit Bulls “Up In Smoke” is preparing for the competition in true “bull style” where we plan on sweeping the barbecue competition. We are up against some good teams, placing in the top 10 in past 2012 BBQ competitions. This year’s Sam’s Club BBQ Event team roster consists of Curly Tails, Hogz Gone Wild GA, Smokin' Swine BBQ Crew, Mrs. T's BBQ, Adam's Rib, Pit Bulls “Up In Smoke”, The Pit Crew, Happy Hog Cookers, Smokin-AJ's, Smokin' Butt Crew, Claude's Q, Choo Choo Train BBQ, BAD BACKS & BBQ, Nada Lotta Q, Deep South BBQ, Q-hutta, Bub-Ba-Q, Grillin’ Gas Passers, Wicked Que, Que'n, Stew'n & Brew'n, The Nekked Pig BBQ Team, Sweet Smoke BBQ, Cullenary BBQ, Kudzu Q, Major Q, Jiggy Piggy, Bad Boys Done Good BBQ, and MDT Smokers.
The Sam's Club National BBQ Tour features 25 Local “qualifying”
events, five Regional events and one National Championship that will take place in Bentonville, Arkansas for 2012. All events are KCBS sanctioned with $500,000 in prize money. Needless to say, the teams lucky enough to get into their local qualifying barbecue events have a lot riding on a top “6” placement at their event. It is the top “6” overall teams from each qualifying event that face-off in a regional event where they then have to finish in the top “10” overall of the five regional competitions available. From there, the BBQ teams are off to the National Competition in Bentonville, Arkansas where one team will earn top “bragging rights” in Barbecue.
Pit Bulls “Up In Smoke” BBQ Team plans on finishing in the top “6” this year. We have been working on perfecting our cook - day in and day out as our stats for the 2012 Barbeque Season are consistently proving http://www.pitbullsupinsmoke.com/bbq-competition-stats.html

Honing in on our best category, Brisket, where we have consistently taken 1st or 2nd and are currently in the top 25 teams in KCBS standings for the brisket category – we will settle for nothing less than perfection. Having zeroed in on our Pork category, again, taking top 5 placements so far this competition year – we plan on putting forth a top quality pork turn-in for the judges. Getting honed back in on our ribs and chicken…we have every intention of producing top notch products for these two categories as well.

Forget about those you are up against – your biggest competitor is YOU! We will go into this Sam’s Club competition keeping this in mind and understanding that our only downfall will be not following through on what we know is tried and true!
