Using a bespoke fabric developed specifically for the P3 ear pads, these innovative yet accessible headphones offer better bass and noise isolation than their competitors. The fabric in question is a heat sensitive memory foam which moulds to the shape of the user’s ear, offering greater comfort and sound quality every time they are worn.
A robust yet lightweight frame folds down for easier storage and transport and the headphones come with a sturdy carry case for that very reason. With greater iPhone and iPod compatibility in mind, the set also features removable magnetic ear buds in order to switch the cable for an iPod specific version or that of another handset.
The unique press launch event, held within the legendary Studio 2, was marked with a live recording by the Mercury Award nominated Portico Quartet, enjoyed by guests via P3 Headphones attached to radio receivers.
London-based electronic outfit Portico Quartet live recorded two tracks from their latest album, but rather than listening through a conventional PA system, the gathered crowd enjoyed the unique sensation of hearing the live mix being produced by the engineer in the control room. At the end of the evening, each attendee was given a copy of the two track session to take away with them.
