Denise Donati, Director of Fertility Solutions Sunshine Coast and Bundaberg said the clinics have a policy not to import sperm from overseas. She said the clinics have expended considerable time and money into recruiting local donors and it is paying off.
“At Fertility Solutions, we are focused on being able to facilitate future contact between the donor and any offspring and do not believe that importing donor semen from overseas supports or facilitates this easily,” Donati added.
There are essentially no restrictions on who can access the donor sperm at Fertility Solutions, but there is a process that people must follow.
