Authentically trained, Core Arts Pilates hosting Miss California 2012 Noelle Freeman in Open House

CORE ARTS PILATES – THE PREMIERE AUTHENTIC PILATES STUDIO IN ANAHEIM is hosting Noelle Freeman for an autograph-signing event. Noelle is the reigning Miss California and 4th runner up in this year’s Miss America competition.  Core Arts Pilates is the official Pilates studio of the Miss California pageant.

Core Arts Pilates is showcasing its newly remodeled Anaheim studio, located at 5642 East La Palma Ave. Suite 204, Anaheim, CA 92870.  The studio will be having its annual open house for the general public on June 2, 2012 from 1-3pm, featuring a signing event for current client and runner up for the Miss America 2012 competition, Noelle Freeman.

Core Arts Pilates is the premier Pilates studio in Orange County, featuring a fully equipped facility, available for group and private classes.  Core Arts Pilates features instructors who are authentically trained and have undergone a rigorous training program that consists of a minimum of 600 hours on all Pilates equipment.

Core Arts Pilates’ flagship studio is located in Los Angeles, where director and owner, Sharmila Mitra, MA, started her craft.  Ms. Mitra has had the privilege to use Pilates to help ease clients that dealt with breast cancer, cystic fibrosis, multiple sclerosis, and Parkinson’s disease.  She’s taught multiple celebrities including Toni Collette, Patricia Richardson, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Mary-Louise Parker and Victoria’s Secret model, Yasmeen Ghauri.  Most recently, Ms. Mitra has prepped two of the last Miss California contestants for the Miss America pageant.  The Los Angeles studio is located at 8338 Beverly Blvd., Los Angeles, California, 90048.

Ms. Mitra started Pilates in 1997 while studying Theatre and Dance at California State University, Fullerton.  After graduating in 1998, Ms. Mitra relocated to New York City to study with the direct protégé of Joseph Pilates and Master Teacher, Romana Kryzanowska through the New York Authentic Pilates Guild.  To further her Pilates study, Mitra completed a second teacher certification-training program through Power Pilates in 2004.

In the last few years, Ms. Mitra has built multiple partnerships with Orange County’s top dance studios, which brought along the great fortune of training several finalists for the wildly popular show So You Think You Can Dance.  In addition to the television show, Ms. Mitra has trained several National Basketball Association cheerleaders on teams including Los Angeles Clippers, Los Angeles Lakers, and Boston Celtics.
