A Motoring First spokesperson said “we offer the British driver annual cover that pays for expert lawyers when charged with an alleged motoring offence via a product called Licence Shield. Out of all our customers whose cases were taken to court, our legal team have successfully won 100% of the time this year”.
Motoring First's independent legal team have handled more than one thousand private cases over the last 3 years. Out of 890 clients that were advised to Challenge a driving ban, 95% (852 clients) avoided the ban. Also, out of 763 clients that were advised to make a not guilty plea, 729 were won (95%). Additionally, of these 729 successful cases, 606 cases were withdrawn without trial by the prosecution (83%).
Licence Shield only covers claims for offences that occur within the period of insurance (1 year) and is subject to the usual T's & C's.
