By: Inland Empire Brewing Company Using locally sourced orange zest and orange blossom honey, this finely made hand crafted brew measures a whopping 11 percent alcohol. Its big honey and malt presence harmoniously balances the citrusy bitterness of both the orange zest and specially selected aromatic hops. Named after Riverside’s historic Victoria Avenue where the brewery buys its oranges, the beer pays tribute to this area’s rich citrus growing history. “I originally designed this beer as a refreshing alternative to wine for my late summer wedding,” said partner and master brewer Paul Murphy. “Orange zest in the boil and hops, hand-selected to highlight the citrus notes contributed by the orange, give this beer its complexity and citrusy floral nose. Honey gives Victoria a unique balance and borderline sweetness not generally found in beers of this category.” “This bottling was really the result of demand pull,” said David Hiebert, CFO and partner at IEBrew. “Ever since our last bottle release, customers have been clamoring for us to release our big, signature Victoria Ale. It has always been a favorite at the brewery, and is sure to be a hit with craft beer and food lovers everywhere.” Hand bottled and labeled at the brewery, Victoria is IEBrews’ first “big” beer to hit the shelves and adds to the company’s existing product line of 22-ounce bottled beer for sale to the public, including Pepin “The Short” Porter.
